Summary of Position

Our Brand Ambassadors are critical to the CAKE community as they are the first point of contact with our brand and that is a BIG deal to us. You will be responsible for embodying the mission and morals of CAKE with the maximum respect and professionalism even while in social and party type settings. You will need to effectively communicate about our products and help guide customers in a genuine, non-sleazy way. There is no interaction that is not important. The reputation of the CAKE family is built in EVERY experience big and small and we expect our Brand Ambassadors to operate knowing that.

We imagine ideal candidates to be passionate about CAKE, understand cannabis culture, be an intuitive people’s person, and an effective curator of our brand personality. It is not required to smoke cannabis regularly, however we do need our Brand Ambassadors to understand our products and flavors well enough to make recommendations and provide customers with personal input.

Job Responsibilities

● Represent CAKE and the cannabis industry with the utmost respect and authenticity.

● Develop an understanding of the CAKE product portfolio with enough proficiency to communicate to any consumer ranging from “canna-curious” to “canna-iseurs.”

● Become a familiar face for the local community at promotional events, including: patient appreciation days, in-store activations, new store launches, new product launches, concerts, festivals, and other industry events.

● Capture content that can be used in real time on the CAKE social media.

● Engage with the community from start to finish of brand activations and events.

● Most importantly, have genuine fun and help others have a great experience too.

Requirements
● Must be at least 21 years old.

● Knowledge about cannabis is preferred.
● Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and passionate supporter of cannabis.

● Charismatic and genuinely enjoys connecting and talking with new people.

● Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
● Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task.
● Experience organizing and maintaining files.
● Professional yet personable.
● Comfortable with CAKE’s cheeky and edgy branding which includes depictions of the woman’s figure.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in a cannabis dispensary setting. Event settings change per project.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to carry and lift product, merchandise, displays, and apparel. The employee frequently is required to talk to customers and consumers; stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating standard electronic equipment i.e. iPad, computer, etc.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is an on-call position. Days and hours of work will depend on each event and will vary according to each retailer’s customer needs. Evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel by car is required. Occasional travel by air to business conferences and events as needed.

Compensation

$30 per hour for daily operations. Event pay will vary based on project. Travel stipend. Uniforms provided.
